ECOSYSTEM
Practice 1
A. Title: Observe terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems
B. Tools and Materials
1. Terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
2. Books taxonomy.
3. The tools for the herbarium and animal collections.
4. Sampler.
C. How it Works
1. Determine the two ecosystems based on their habitats (terrestrial and aquatic) that will be observed.
2. Then the inventory component of both biotic and abiotic ecosystem.
a)    Conduct visual observation on both ecosystem.
b)   Make observations through sampling (if necessary).
3. Determine completeness of these ecosystem components (based on the individual / species observed) .4. Then note the source of energy used by each component.
5. Consider the role of each component of ecosystems that are found.
6. Make a diagram (relationship of components within the ecosystem and energy cycle that is in it) the interaction between the components contained in each ecosystem was observed.
Practice 2:
A. Title:  Observing Diversity Ecosystem Level
B. Tools and materials:
1. 3 kinds of ecosystems picture
2. Lab notebook.
C. Work Steps:
1. Study the pictures carefully ecosystem
2. Answer these questions in your lab notebook
D. Question:

            Figure 1                  Figure2                 Figure3
1. What is the name of ecosystems in Figure 1, Figure 2, and figure 3?
2. Write the kinds of flora and plants found on the ecosystem Figures 1, 2, 3?
3. Write the kinds of fauna or animals found in ecosystems Figures 1, 2, 3?
4. Of the three kinds of ecosystems, which one has the number and diversity of living things the most?
5. What is the diversity of ecosystems?
