Why Develop an Instructional Theory

Why Develop an Instructional Theory?
One goal of science is to construct theories. scientist use theories to guide them to new insight into the intricacies of nature. a theory is an effective intellectual tool that  the integrates many of the mind's process. through knowing relatively little-a theory-the individual actually knows a great deal. a theory has three fundamental attributes: it organize observations and data, explains phenomena, and predicts events and therefore provides direction. it is through theoretical understanding that we can interpret and synthesize volumes of information. (Leslie W. Trowbridge)
and the Trowbridge add that as a science teacher, your effectiveness can be enhanced by your ability to organize observations of students, explain behaviors, and predict what will happen as a result of your activities and actions in the classroom . although an instructional theory may not have the power and utility of scientific theory, it will certainly help you bring consistency to the variety of decisions you make in the process of teaching.

From this argument we can conclude that Why Develop an Instructional Theory is needed three fundamental attributes that must be fulfilled that is organize observations and data, explains phenomena, and predicts events and therefore provides direction. so if we want to science teacher it's well to us for understanding that three fundamental attributes.
